I’m a university and DELTA qualified English teacher from the Czech Republic with more than 10 years of experience teaching English to foreigners in the Czech Republic as well as the United Kingdom. 🤓.
Listening to podcasts is part of my own daily routine because I believe that regular listening is a must for every committed English learner 💪.
In my podcasts, you may follow my English learning journey as I interview my friends, students, and interesting people from all around the world 🌍.
A lot of my episodes feature native English speakers. Most famously, there are about 10 episodes with Luke Thompson from Luke’s English Podcast who has been my primary source of inspiration 😎.
I also have episodes in which I describe my experiences of taking CELTA and DELTA courses, as well as IELTS exam. You will probably find some silly episodes in the archive, too, as I sometimes just want to have fun 😃.

Episode 332 - The King Commute

This is an episode I've been planning to do for a long time. It's about a fellow English teacher and a colleague of mine from Speak up London language school Kieren Hughes and the book Battery Life he co-wrote with his friend Nick White.

Battery Life is a collection of short stories that take place in London. So if you would like to embark upon a kaleidoscopic journey into 21st Century London through the eyes of dozens of unique characters, give this episode a listen.

In the second part of the episode I read out a selected story from the book called the King Commute. I'm definitely not the best audiobook narrator, but I gave it my best :)
